Off to a placewhere $$=1/2=RM

I like travelling to Msia. Honestly, as much as I travel to Malaysia often, I don't know much about the geographical layout of the states.

But basically, I just hate going to places I don't like. Like right now, I'm going to leave at night to Msia for CNY. A place where I don't really like.

I want to travel to the Northern States of Malaysia and notice the Thai influences on traditional dances. Or food. Or whatever.

I want to travel to Malacca. But I figured their technology is still not very advanced because damn, I can't contact the guesthouse person. But I thought of riding on the convenience of going to Msia for CNY and CALL THEM from Msia itself. So I won't have to pay a single cent/sen!

Balek Kampung. But I finally cancelled my Msian citizenship. So stop laughing at me already.

It affirms.

Bad new year start.

-------You are always alert and keenly observant. You are not truly satisfied with your everyday status and you are seeking fresh avenues which can give you the opportunity to prove your worth. You feel that there are still many barriers that stand between you and recognition - but one by one you will overcome them. Your tenacity is your one good point - like an English Bulldog, once you take the bite, you will seldom let go.

You are a very warm and emotional individual but unfortunately in the past too many people have taken advantage of this sensitive trait. You need aesthetic surroundings, or an equally sensitive and understanding partner with whom to share a warm understanding.

The situation at this time is one of considerable distress. You feel trapped and you are looking for some way out. You can find solace in the arms of someone who cares so long as there is no long-term emotional involvement.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You are anxious about all the limitations to which you are subjected to at this time. You feel that you are not valued for what or who you are. You need OUT. So why procrastinate any longer - MOVE!-----------

When economy gets bad

School starts today! And I'm still not sleeping..

Wan Ting told me that our history mod is flooded with NINE announcements. And somebody so kan chiong spider alerted the lecturer about errors on IVLE stuffs. Shits, got KS people.

Anyway, when the economy gets bad, the society shows signs and symptoms of its early onset. Petty thefts are everywhere, even for the simplest things. And you will see people trying to con kind hearted souls into donation money by deliberately making themselves look helpless, soliciting donations.

That was what happened to us today. A man came with a walking stick and plastic box in Chinatown asking us for $$. My policy, learnt from looking at even poorer people from other countries, is that I will never donate to an individual just because he/ she appears poor, shabby, homeless. Who knows, they might just be managed by a syndicate, and money donated doesn't go to them? Or they are individuals who are perfectly normal but pretend they are not?

My policy is: I will only offer to fill your stomach and make you feel okay if you are poor, begging on the street and have nothing to eat.

In this case, the man walked very fast and passed us down the street. We rejected him a couple of minutes before we left our dinner table. He tried his luck on a group of people again, showing his "trembling" arm. He failed. We walked behind him and I think his arm was just an act. Guess what, he straightened his arm, the walking stick seemed useless except aid his tired legs from conning people, and used his "trembling" arm to support his sling bag.

The mighty "trembling" arm can support his bag and the bag never tremble leh!

Stupid conman. My bibu almost gave in and asked me don't be so bad. But these people are heartless in the first place. Seriously.

And those people selling tissue paper, sorry, but I think it's just a easy business to do, not helping you too by buying.

xMas present part 2

When I was young, I love to read books by Enid Blyton. Most people would have read the hardcover books. I read those and the Noddy series as well. Bibu doesn't know who is Noddy, when I saw the toy somewhere long time ago with her.

I saw the treasury edition recently at Books Actually and like it very much. It's a compilation of first 5 books on Noddy and his adventures.

The stories revolve around Noddy and his trademark red and yellow car, his friends and the baddies. I love the pretty illustrations which made me imagine what happened, their expressions and how the 'people' in Toyland looked like.

I only have 1 or 2 series of Noddy, which I bought in Primary school whenever there is a book sale. But now I have the treasury edition, which means 5 more series!

=) Spookabao and Noddy sums up my xMas presents=)

**We just made black sesame paste for Tang Yuan. It's in the fridge to harden, so hopefully it turns out ok for part 2 of Tang Yuan making!

Year 2000 and nine

(They just want to say hello! Pooopsie Jnr stayed in NY for damn long she's really so much fatter than pink bibu Jnr.)

It's 2009 and 2008 wasn't too bad. I'm not going to list down everything that happened, but I guess the major trip this year was to the States. Sad to say the program wasn't enjoyable, but hey I managed to get a 'family' away from home. Oh and some really good friends too, from the States and some are from other countries!

Come 2009, I will still love Bibu, travel travel travel despite our budget, save save save so that I won't incur all the education debts when I come out to work.

And study study study so that I can still continue for another year.

Work work work for more $$ to save and throw it at the bank.

Okay,

Have a great year ahead! (I got my Spooka and it's called spookabao, xMas present from Bibu!)
